PLANOGRAM : A Graphical representation of the space allocated to merchandise in a store
PRIVATE LABEL : Brand that is owned by the store and sold exclusively through it's own outlets.
Profit Margin : Net profit after taxes divided by net sales
ROA ( Return on Assets): Performance ratio based on a retailer's net sales, net profit and total assets

Sell Through : A comparison between planned and actual sales to determine whether more merchandise is needed or early markdowns required
Shelf Talkers : Signages used on the shelfs of the racks near the merchandise to announce prices or special offers on that merchandise
SKU : Stock Keeping Unit. A no assigned to a specific item
Stock Turnover : The no of times that the average inventory is sold during a specific period.
SUPERMARKET : A self service food store with groceries and FMCG products
SHRINKAGE : Loss of goods due to shoplifting, employee theft of vendor shortage
TICKET SIZE : The average bill value of a particular store during a specific time
VISUAL MERCHANDISING : Enhancing the visibility of a merchandise assortment by creating visual displays with relevant props to create a theme.
